Shiba Inu lands on Solana after $190B DEX quarter – Q4 memecoin cycle next? - AMBCrypto

In a recent X post, the memecoin project officially announced that SHIB has launched on the Solana network

What does this mean? SHIB can now be traded on Solana’s DeFi ecosystem, reaching new users, liquidity and on-chain activity. This makes the partnership more than just a short-term narrative, considering the strength of memecoin momentum on the Solana blockchain

As shown in the chart below, Solana recorded $190 billion in DEX volume in Q3, up from around $180 billion in Q2. This implies stronger on-chain activity and deeper liquidity

The key takeaway? Pump.fun continues to dominate memecoin activity on the blockchain, with almost $400 million in 24-hour DEX volume

As one of the largest memecoin launchpads on the network, this implies that Solana currently boasts sufficient liquidity and activity to propel SHIB to new levels of popularity

For SHIB, the timing is also interesting

According to on-chain data, more than 88 trillion Shiba Inu were held on exchanges on the 3rd of October, while net exchange inflows crossed 288 billion SHIB, indicating increased selling pressure. Moreover, Exchange Reserves hit their highest level since the 3rd of June, meaning that more SHIB tokens may become available for selling in the near future

Given this backdrop, the SHIB-Solana partnership could act as much-needed fuel for Shiba Inu [SHIB]. With increased memecoin liquidity on the Solana blockchain, it would be interesting to see if this is enough to reverse the bearish trend

However, the bigger question now is whether this momentum could trigger a broader memecoin revival in Q4

It would not be surprising to see another memecoin cycle emerge

On a technical level, the memecoin market cap finished Q3 up 43%, notably higher than the previous one, and registering the best quarterly performance since Q2 2025. Thus, there is growing liquidity and risk appetite. Given that the sector is taking off, SHIB’s launch on Solana appears to be well-timed

The setup becomes more interesting if we take a closer look at SHIB’s price action. According to the chart below, SHIB closed Q3 up more than 37% while maintaining its sideways range around $0.000005. The key takeaway? SHIB also outperformed Dogecoin, which means that the demand for the token remains strong as the broader memecoin market gains traction

In short, SHIB is entering Solana with both sector momentum and a solid technical setup behind it

Combined with Solana’s [SOL] growing liquidity and the popularity of Pump.fun as a memecoin launchpad, SHIB has a better chance than ever to draw in new demand. This demand could absorb the increased exchange supply and push the price higher

Overall, the memecoin market seems to be in the process of creating a positive feedback loop in which the momentum of Q3 may carry into Q4. With SHIB consolidating around $0.000005, this setup could provide the next catalyst for a broader memecoin rally
