Stellar (XLM) recorded its lowest average transaction fee in seven days on October 11, even as network activity reached its highest daily level of the week, according to blockchain fundamentals tracker Chainspect

The average transaction fee fell to just $0.00012 on October 11, Chainspect wrote, highlighting Stellar's ability to process transactions at a minimal cost during a period of heightened activity. At that rate, a transaction fee amounts to only a tiny fraction of a cent

"Stellar came in with its lowest average transaction fee of the past 7 days. The average fee was $0.00012 on October 11. A fee that small barely deserves a line on the receipt," Chainspect wrote

⚡ @StellarOrg cleared 12.0M transactions on October 11. That averages 139.15 TPS, its busiest day this week. Stellar skipped the Sunday slowdown entirely. 📊

The low fee coincided with a significant increase in network usage. Stellar processed about 12 million transactions on October 11, averaging 139.15 transactions per second (TPS) on its busiest day of the week, according to a separate X post by Chainspect

"Stellar cleared 12.0 million transactions on October 11. That averages 139.15 TPS, its busiest day this week," Chainspect posted

Chainspect noted that rather than experiencing the typical Sunday slowdown, Stellar maintained substantial activity throughout the day, which remains significant for the network

This follows the recent Stellar Protocol 28 upgrade, "Adapter," which brought about improvements that allowed faster consensus, even under load

CAP-83, introduced in the Adapter upgrade, lets validators begin voting before the transaction set has fully arrived and gives them an explicit way to drop a transaction set that is late or invalid instead of stalling while they wait for it. In practice, that means consensus keeps moving even when transaction data is slow to propagate, which will improve throughput and help keep the network running smoothly at scale and at low cost

In separate news, Real World Asset (RWA) value on Stellar is up 11x since January 2025, having gone from $300 million to $3.54 billion, contributed to by Franklin Templeton's BENJI and WisdomTree Funds. Stellar also leads tokenized fund growth in 2026 with over $2.7 billion thus far
