The divergence emerged as softer American inflation figures reduced expectations for another Federal Reserve interest rate increase. Declining futures exposure and subdued technical indicators kept ADA’s recovery prospects uncertain despite Midnight’s strong rally
US headline PCE inflation registered 3.4% annually in August, compared with market expectations of 3.7%. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, came in at 3.0%, against an anticipated 3.3%

July’s headline and core readings also received downward revisions of 30 basis points each. Those revisions left August’s annual readings unchanged from July, despite both undershooting expectations
October rate hike probabilities near 35%, down from roughly 45% before the release. Bitcoin hovered near $83,500, Ethereum traded around $2,670, and XRP remained below $1.50 during Wednesday’s market update
NIGHT climbed 20.20% to $0.0377, outperforming a cryptocurrency market that gained only 0.23% over the same period. Trading volume increased 84% to $82.2 million, while the token’s weekly advance exceeded 60%
The increased turnover supported the breakout interpretation, although volume alone cannot establish whether gains will persist. Sustained activity above $0.035 could bring $0.040 resistance into view, while losing support risks a retreat toward $0.032

Registered NIGHT holdings on Cardano can generate DUST on Midnight without transferring the underlying tokens between networks. These features aim to simplify the steps required for users to access private blockchain applications
The Cardano price weakness was paired with a decline in futures open interest, which indicated the waning exposure in derivatives markets. Over the past week, open interest fell off by roughly 9%, dropping from $1.99 billion to $1.81 billion. The open interest is different from the number of contracts that have been traded during periods of session
The contraction indicates less leveraged involvement, but it doesn’t identify if that was bullish or bearish. ADA’s muted performance showed that enthusiasm surrounding NIGHT had yet to translate into a comparable token rally
The September 30 four-hour technical reading placed ADA at $0.245, down 1.61% during the displayed candle. The price of Cardano is also currently facing resistance at $0.250, and if it closes above the price point for four hours, the price will have cleared immediate resistance
A confirmed breakout could open a move toward $0.270, approximately 10.2% above the four-hour snapshot. Beyond that barrier, $0.300 remains the next major resistance level as per the Long-term ADA projection
The initial support is at $0.230, which is approximately 6.1% lower from the same support point. The $0.200 level is the sustained breakdown that could compromise the recovery structure found by those levels
The four-hour RSI was at 47.07 and is below 50, which means there is limited bullish momentum. Both the MACD line and the signal line were near each other, with both lines reading about -0.001. The histogram indicated a slightly negative difference between the MACD and signal lines with a reading of -0.000 on the histogram
